Asha

Deceased, Dogs

Asha came to us from another rescue group more than 12 years ago with her litter of puppies. Unbeknownst to us, she was coming directly from city animal control with an unusual strain of kennel cough, which spread like wildfire through the kennel and to the house. All the puppies were healthy and fat and got adopted when they were eight weeks old. Asha the athlete could jump all the fences in the place, and being black and a pit bull mix, it made her a challenge to place. All the wrong people wanted Asha and after numerous subpar visitors and confrontations, we cancelled her listing. She lives contently with Lydia and Herc. (All three of our older big dogs died within six months of each other. Asha died in her sleep.)
