Gage

Gage is an eleven year old Labrador and has some older dog issues which make him very difficult to keep anywhere but on the ceramic tile. He loves a soft dog bed next to one of his beagle girlfriends, preferably one on each side. Gage came to us in a terribly neglected condition, a chronic ear infection that couldn’t be treated despite lots of antibiotics, fleas and a severe flea allergy. Through a generous donation, Gage went to the University to have his ear canal closed and inner ear surgically removed, to prevent ongoing infections. He was already completely deaf in that ear and hears adequately in the other ear. The skin infection from the chronic flea allergy means his coat will always be thin.

Gage died at age 12.
