History: Abandoned by her owner at a lesson barn, Promise would have been overlooked for flashier horses if she had had gone to a sale barn. Instead she came to Dogwood Farm, where she continues to reveal her good heart and concern for her rider. If her rider is not balanced and secure, she won’t canter. This might give the impression that she is lazy. She isn’t. She is making sure that her rider is up to the task. In her former life, Promise won top awards in both English and Western pleasure. Now, blind in one eye from uveitis, she remains a great kid horse, companion and teacher.
