Ginger

Ginger was a totally feral dog who loved her friends Nacho and BJ. She was very fearful of any interaction with humans. She was not a biter, just horribly frightened. She was a shepherd mix. She entered rescue heartworm positive and , lucky for her, found by a veterinarian in outstate Missouri and treated. We didn’t know her exact age or her health. She was here for four years. Feral Ginger  died one morning at the top of the steps in the large outside yard. When we found her, she was already gone. Our vet thinks she might have had some heart damage from her previous heartworm and had a heart attack or a bad valve. Running up the stairs was all it took. We’ll never know. She had eaten her dinner the night before and seemed fine. There was no sign of anything amiss externally.
