Former stray, Tessa represents the other pit bull terrier type dogs that live at the Sanctuary – difficult breeds to place in the right homes and 25 percent of our dogs here. We have wonderful, well-adjusted, funny pitties but often their bad reputation eliminates great adoptions.

Tessa is the queen of the pit bulls in that she has the best disposition of any dog at the Sanctuary. She was listed on our website for more than a year and had no takers because of her plain brown wrapping. Ben decided she made a good office dog and co-pilot. She fetches, loves toys and always comes when called. She has tremendous muscle structure and is very fast. She loves riding in the car.
